Little Piano is a program that will let you play piano on your PC. With this program, you will be able to produce music using your computer’s keyboard. Little Piano allows you to choose any of the 128 General MIDI instruments, from grand piano to guitar, celesta, or xylophone. You can also choose an accompaniment from one of the twelve different drum patterns included in the program, or create your own accompaniment using the Pattern Editor. You can also set the keyboard to play you only the notes or notes and chords.
The program goes a little further than just splitting your regular keyboard, it allows you to record your performance (it even grants you ten assignable channels for that purpose), so that you can later hear what you have played, modify the tempo and change the octave. Once you are happy with the result, you can save your performance to a file that you can open and play with Little Piano at any time.
The registered version of this program enables you to export your music to a MIDI file (which makes the program a whole MIDI sequencer of some sort). That way, you can share your files with anyone, or you can use them as ringtones in polyphonic mobile phones. |
